KERN COUNTY ALERT LINE
Clear information. Accessible to more families.
A development preview of a service for school delays, closures, and district notices.
How to use Alert Line
Start with your district, then read the full notice. Check the effective dates, affected services, and the district instructions.
No posted notice is not confirmation of normal operations. Check district instructions.
Different states mean different things
Current notices are within their effective window. Upcoming notices have not started. Expired notices have reached their end time; expiration does not announce that a situation is safe or resolved. Cleared and cancelled notices reflect explicit publisher actions.
Accessibility and language
This build targets WCAG 2.2 AA. It has not completed a conformance audit or a legal compliance review.
Use the keyboard to navigate, enlarge text with your browser, and choose English or Español without leaving the selected notice. Essential alert information is available without JavaScript.
Spanish source-revision matching is built in. Sample translations still need bilingual review. When a current translation is unavailable, a clearly labeled English version remains visible.
The operational accessibility assistance contact will be added after KCSOS confirms the responsible team. During development, report issues to the project team through your existing internal contact.
Development and privacy notes

Public JSON and per-revision CAP outputs are TEST data only. Do not connect them to live news automation or emergency systems.
